You're My Mother Now

July 19. 2017

"You're my mother now," she said as I gave her a hug to go. Her now frail body clung to me like a child, and both our eyes were wet. I could only think, "How correct you are, mother of mine..." I cried all the way home, my heart was so moved.

Oh how the times have changed! Mom's moved into her new home in Burnaby. This photo was taken on day two, and you can tell she was very tired from not sleeping well. Glad to report, she's settling in nicely.

ps. Mom believes me to be her mother reincarnate. Her mother died when she was four of pneumonia. #ParentingOurParents
